sit sat in the car on my way to Tennessee for a family vacation with my husbands side, I contemplate contemplated if I managed to pack everything. This is was my first big vacation with my son, who is now 9 10 months old! We were supposed to have taken him to Disney in March when he would have only been 3 months old, but due to COVID that tip was delayed. We are planning the make-up trip for March of 2021! So as I look looked at the 8 million bags in our car wondering where I put the extra pacifiers or Sofie the Giraffe, I figured I could write a list of some Amazon must haves you should totally add to your Disney packing list so you don’t feel like you forgot something important! (Sorry for the strikethroughs, I wrote this in the car but didn’t finish and publish until after the trip).
So as it turns out, there are stores everywhere and more often than not if you forget something on vacation, you will most likely be able to pick one up at a local Walmart out of town. But that doesn’t make it any less stressful while packing. Especially when it’s for your children! Before we walked out the door
today Jesse asked if I got all his bathroom stuff (shampoo, body wash) and I replied with “the way I see is if we forgot it, we can buy it when we get there” (I did forget q-tips). But for goodness sakes I made sure I packed 3 boxes of infant Tylenol and 2 boxes of infant Motrin! Just me?
Anyways, my point is that Disney will likely have anything you may forget and if not there is a Walmart not to far off property. But it’s a pain to have to run to the store on vacation, especially a busy Disney trip. And more often than not it will cost you more money!
So here are some of the Amazon must haves I recommend purchasing before your trip and hopefully you can save some money too!

Items to Purchase from Amazon
Ponchos are a must for the lovely Sunshine state, you just never know when it will pour a solid 4 minutes or all day. So I advise you to be prepared! Disney of course has ponchos but they are pricey. So save the money and come prepared! You can even keep the Disney theme!
Now that I think of it, since we have bought our roughly $8 Mickey and Minnie ponchos 4 years ago, we have only taken them out of the bag once. Luck? Maybe! But I still recommend coming prepared, as you can see in the picture above, the sun doesn’t always shine in Disney World!
Another item Disney clearly will have at every gift shop, but there is no need to spend $20 on a book of paper. There are SO many cute options on Amazon. Or you could try some unique options like a picture frame/matte, a backpack or a T-shirt!
We had a Disneymoon T-shirt signed during our honeymoon that we put in a shadow box along with out airbrushed “we got engaged in the Smokies” T-shirt from Tennessee!
First off you will likely want the backpack ahead of time so you are prepared for your first park day, but also you can find SO many options online. You can find Loungefly bags for cheaper than the Disney Parks bags with so many different character styles in a number of locations! I got my Stitch one (pictured below) at Hot Topic and have found a ton of cute bags at Box Lunch! But I am also a sucker for finding bags at Disney, such as my Animal Kingdom 20th Anniversary Dooney & Bourke bag.
Disney offers the big blue fan/spray bottle combinations. But when I say big, I am not exaggerating. I remember having little hand held ones my mom would get from the dollar store when I was young and I recently bought my niece and nephew some at Walmart. If you don’t want to carry around a big bulky fan, grab a little one ahead of time. Also, be sure to get one for the stroller if you will be taking one!
Seriously, just buy these before you go! On one of our trip we needed batteries for our camera and it took multiple stores before we found the type we needed (we needed AA but could only find packs of AAA) and when we finally did, boy were they expensive!
We honestly tend to buy these at the dollar store, but you can also find some on Amazon. I have even seen a super cute DIY light-up Mickey ears tutorial with glow bracelets! How cute!
Well there you have it, some of the more random, and easy to forget Amazon must haves that you can save big on by purchasing before your Disney vacation!
Let me know of any other items you think are Amazon must haves to purchase ahead of time! I would LOVE to be more prepared if at all possible!
